Procrastination

A time when I recently procrastinated is now basically. I waited so ong to do my homework. I just kept putting it off and putting it off and then I became sick and it got put off for even longer. The reason why I fianly did it was becasue I knew time was running out and I can not aford to fail a class.

Value

The value of this course means a lot to me becasue with the education of this course I will not end up like the rest of my famiy. I will make something of myself. Having this under my belt and being able to do soemthing will help raise my self-esteem knowing my life will not be as hard as my family. My dream is to not live paycheck to paycheck and live a happy life. Everything has a value in my opinion becasue even when people say something is priceess in my mind that is still a value.

Boosting self-esteem

To bulid your self-esteem you have to have someone there who is not always going to tear you down. You also need to focus on the good things you've done. Yes some of the bad stuff that you did or has happened to you sucks but it will bring you down if you are always talking and or thinking about it. To build my employees self-esteem I would make sure they know when they are doing a good job and give them adivise on the areas where they need help. Employees with good self-esteem will help raise the company becasue the employees will be more happy and williing to work.

Self-esteem

This subject is very touchy for some people becasue their self-esteem is so low. But its not always becasue you have high acheivment motavation. Yes that could have a little to do with someones self esteem problems but not always. How I would boost my employees self-esteem is by letting them know they are doing a good job and giving them praise for their good work and advise when they mess up. Self-esteem is built by the people you have around you.

Extroverts VS Introverts

To be honest I do believe extroverts do smile and laugh a bit more because they are out going and not always stuck in their minds like introverts. People who are introverts tend to be more timid and take in their surroundings a lot more then extroverts. Extroverts can walk up to anyone and start a conversation and become very joking and happy. Introverts on the other hand like to observe people and can an idea of who someone is by watching them instead of talking to them bnecasue actions always speak louder than words.

Thinkers and doers

In this world we have all kinds of people, For instant we have thinkers and doers. What these are people who think of things and doers who actually go out and make the thinkers things a reality. Me I am a major thinker. Everyone has to pretty much push me to do anything. A person can defiantly be both it just depends on the situation. Like in school some people learn better from doing instead of thinking about it and they could be the complete oposite when it comes to working. This can affect the work place becasue it can help decide who is best for what job and or a career.

Power

If you just focus on power then you will lose yoursef and everyone around you. To me power leads to being unhappy. If you don't have power and intimacy in your life then you will lead a very boring and lonely life. I can't thnik of different domains of your life that you can ise this in.

Achievement

Aptitude test are something that I feel are not able to predict anything. Everyone is there own person and decides their own fate. Business need achievement motavation because it will help people and make them want to work. Achievment motavation is all based on the person no one else.

Ill

The last time I was ill I was not under a lot of stress. The problems with me becoming sick is when the weather changes and or someone I've been around is sick. Yes when I am stressed I become a little more depressed but never really sick. No I can not use those things to figure out when I am going to be sick. I just become sick plain and simple. So honestly I have no idea how any of this helps me become a better manager. As for my employees I would make sure their is plenty of hand sanitizer around. And if they come to me with something that is stressing them out I will do my best to try and help them fix the problem.

Demands

In life you have many different demands. You have demands for work, school, friends, family, bills and so much more. Some of the demands I face in my life are taking test, showing up for work, paying my car insurance and car payment. I also have demands from my friends and family who want to me but I'm usually busy with work or school or sleeping. There are many ways to manage your demands like study, set alarms, go to work, send out the check, and find some kind of free time. In my life I worry about a lot of things like I need more hours to be able to send out the check to make my car payment, finding the time to study, and finding time when I'm not busy with school work and sleeping to do everything else. It can be really stressful at times. 

With all that being said in my business I would try and do my best to help people with time management and helping them meet their demands of their life. I could do this by letting them have days off when they ask and or giving them more hours if needed. But there are at times only so much an employer can do.

Never Forget

In my life time I can remember only a very few times when I have seen my family cry. It was on that day of the tower attacks. I remember sitting there watching the new before school. My mom was crying and so was my grandpa. One of my mothers good friends was in one of the towers on the 84th floor. My mom knew she had lose a friend the second the plane had hit the tower. This year like every year my mom sits and listens to them read the names of all the fallen.
 

My best friend kylie can remember sitting in class and hearing the news over the intercom not really knowing what had happen. Now today she understands. This year she had a moment of silence for the fallen when she woke.
 
My grandpa sat in front of the TV all day on 9/11 watching the towers fall. He could not believe someone would actually do that. This year listened to the names while he was on his computer.
 
My friend Kate remembers being kept home that day from school and watching the towers hit. She was to young to understand but now today she does and has decided to serve our country as a way to remember the fallen.
 
My co-worker Amy remembers watching the towers hit and immediately feeling pain and anger. She could not believe what she had saw. Today she posted a couple things to her facebook wall saying never forget. Then went about her day taking care of her daughter.
 
The reason why all of this is important is because even though its been 12 years since the twin tower attacks it still effect everyone to do this day. People can still feel the pain, the anger, and the lost to this day. It was something that struck all Americans. Employers will always have to keep this day in mind because some people may act a little different on this day and their employees may feel the need to have the day off to honor the fallen. Its just a day I feel employers should be a little more leant with how things are run because of the way everyone will be feeling. It will be a day that no one will forget.
 
NEVER FORGET 9/11

School choir

It was the end of me freshmen year of high school and I had decided to audition for my schools advance choir group next year. When it came to the audition I was very nervous. I felt butterflies in my stomach and I had a little bit of dry mouth as well. It was a very tension situation for me because I really wanted to make it. Choir had become a huge part of my life. I believe the tension messed me a little because I was so nervous and anxious. But in the end I did just fine.

Measuring Energetic Arousal

Through out the day I have stopped for a second to measure how I am feeling. Through out the day my arousal changed all the time. I choose to do this experiment on a Saturday. I didn't have to work or have class so I figured let's see how I am on these kind of days. Well on this particular Saturday all I wanted to do was sleep and relax but that is not at all what I got to do. When I first woke up I was awake, partly alert and I was relaxed. But within the first few minutes of being awake I soon found my day was going to be busy. I had forgotten it was my turn to do all the laundry. This immediately got me completely awake, alert and feeling very tense. This was not what I had planned to do.
 
As the day more and more things came up that I had to do. Like buy my grandparents a new coffer maker, go shopping with my mom, help my grandparents figure out what to do with my dog, make dinner and clean. And just as I thought I was going to be able to relax my boyfriends car decided it needed work done.
 
At each of these moments I felt something different. The coffer maker I was glad to do because my grandparents need that but while shopping I felt very jittery because the store was very busy and packed. Shopping with my mom was actually fun and calming. My dog was something that very much upset me because he's my baby boy but unfortunately I can not keep him. So I was very upset and tense. Making dinner and cleaning was relaxing and calming. But the car ended up being a pain causing me tension and just wanting to go to bed.
 
Throughout the day I noticed I could be feeling anything at any given time. And each situation caused a different kind of arousal out of me. Every situation can cause us to feel differently.
